- These are the experiments we have conducted this term:
- Fizzy Reactions
- Notice Any Changes
- Metal Reactions with Acid, Water, and Air
- Metal Displacement Reactions: No need for a full lab report. Just complete the experiment sheet, which you can download from this site (see below), complete, and email back to me.
- Law of Conservation of Mass
The LAW OF CONSERVATION OF MASS Lab Report must have the following:
- Introduction
- Objective (which we discussed in class)
- Hypothesis (which we discussed in class)
- Procedure (which we discussed in class)
- Results table (again, you should present this in table form. If you are going to add photos, you need to put captions. If you are going to submit a video, it must not be more than 1 minute long. Upload it to youtube and send the link. YOU MUST EDIT YOU VIDEO AND PUT SUBTITLES EXPLAINING WHAT IS HAPPENING.)
- Discussion and Conclusion (which you have to do on your own based on the Guide Questions)
Here are the GUIDE QUESTIONS:
- What is a closed system?
- Why did we need a closed system to do this experiment?
- Why was it important to weight the system before and after the reaction?
- Did your results support your hypothesis? Why or why not?
- On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your participation? Why?
- On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your partner's participation? Why?
- How can you improve the experiment?
EXPERIMENTS 3 AND 4 ARE DUE ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 12 MIDNIGHT. These are short and easy lab reports!
